Logic Or Dreaming

I've read what the Chambers of Commerce and the tourism organizations have and I see on TV that the cities are so fun, exciting, carefree, and that everyone parties until day light . I see on TV the nice cars that everyone drives, the houses and apartments that are so well kept. It must be nice to live in the city. I don't know why more people don't live there. I've been to the airport that is a good feel of what the city is like. It can't be any different than what I've seen just at the airport. I've even had some people that have visited the city tell me the cities are nice too.

Now I don't know why they give the slums a bad name. How can it be bad! Maybe they don't party until the sun comes up and it is not as exciting. That's not a reason to give it a bad name. They may also have some people that rob houses and businesses, but I'm sure that they are doing that for a good reason. Leaving nothing to waste or haste. So I don't blame the robbers that use force and might harm or kill the other people. It's what they want to do. So let them. No reason to put bars on the windows or locks on the doors or have police men on patrol to watch or arrest these robbers. Police are only for helping people that need directions, helping ladies and children cross the street, and the occasional traffic violation. So why are people so cautious living in the city. There's just no just cause for it. People should take the bars off their windows, leave their cars unlocked and not worry about the culture they are trying to cut out of their lives. The robbers that come into your house and take things and harm your family and your neighbors family have a right to do it. So live with it. Don't fight it or try to change it. It's the robbers nature to do the things they do. How can you condone one's actions. And I know that in some communities there are not any robbers like this one or ever was so why don't you invite them and relocate them so they can prosper there. That really sounds like a great idea.

Do the above paragraphs sound way out of line, naive and idealistic? Most definitely. The above paragraphs are my version of what the wolf lovers and predator lovers are saying to the ranchers. Now I have never been to a large city, except the airport, and how would the city people like me to tell them the above thoughts. That would really go over good, wouldn't it. Why? Because they know what really goes on in the city. They live there day in and day out. They experience and see what really happens in the city. That is unless they stay in their house/apartment all the time. They know that there is a reason that they have bars on their windows, lock everything, have policemen do patrolling, arresting and use force on some people and carry firearms. They know they have to be cautious and protect their families from robbers with lethal items that will harm or kill just for the thrill of it or money or items that they can pawn off for items that please them hardly ever robbing for items of necessity such as food and clothing. Yes every once and a while they need food but robbing for their items of pleasure is most important.
